A text exchange about a woman's descent into madness working from home.
A text exchange about a woman's descent into madness working from home.

I'm shopping for a standing desk converter to sit on my existing desk. While shopping I found some odd images on the company's website. I do not own the images, but use them for purposes of parody.

This was a text exchange with my sister who is accustomed to my lunacy.

Here is the text from the image.

Image is of a woman sitting on an exercise bike with her feet folded under her on the bike's seat, a coffee cup cradled in her hands and for some reason a book balanced on her head. All while sitting in front of a standing desk.

This is a woman who needs to go back to the office.

My sister: LOL

Her weekly status reports chronicle her descent into madness.

She constantly talks about her pets on the zoom calls, but she has no pets.

Her therapist is a squirrel.

She told her boss she is balancing the books today.

My shopping for a standing desk converter has become a writing prompt.

The second image is of a different woman smiling as she stares at the monitor on her standing desk. She is standing in front of her standing desk. The clock behind her says 5:30.

Her coworker has a better grasp of the concept of the standing desk.

Important fact: it is 5:30 am and she is not in a zoom call.

She’s just damned happy to be back in the office.

Which is decorated in mid century penitentiary.
